RESOURCES
SitStayRead
SitStayRead is a year-round, nonprofit program to improve literacy skills and foster a love of learning among at-risk children. The program uses a curriculum designed with the University of Illinois at Chicago Center for Literacy, and volunteers work with children ages 7-9 in Chicago inner-city schools. When volunteers work with children, they bring dogs as a way to tackle literacy in a relaxed, interactive way. View Website
