Formed in 2007 by leaders in business, education, and science to reverse the decline in U.S. students’ math and science educational achievement, NMSI promotes best practices in math and science by scaling researched programs that have produced immediate and sustainable results. These programs include: The Advanced Placement Training and Incentive Program, UTeach, Young Leaders, and the Initiative for Military Families. Resources available on the site include fact sheets, reports and research relating to STEM in the U.S., and NMSI’s Parent’s Guide, which provides guidance for parents on how they can support math and science skills in their children from elementary school through high school.
